No no, detail is good, definitely good! I liked that in your writing, always rich with descriptions.
What I was talking about was the style... It read like you were trying too hard to be excessively eloquent. Like you've got a thesarus by your side and keep looking it up every three words. The writing could stand to be a bit more casual... (Though being /too/ casual turns out even worse than being too stiff. )
